Emei Mountain - Birthplace of Golden Shield Qi Gong
Emei Mountain – Birthplace of Golden Shield Qi Gong

The tradition of Jin Gui Golden Shield Qi Gong originated five hundred years ago in the temples of Emei Mountain in Western China. It is a rare “Temple Style” of Qi Gong which develops exceptionally strong physical bodies and youthful energy extremely quickly.

Dr. Don Zhang, DAOM, PhD has found that these rare Qi Gong forms are valuable for everybody and emphasizes the health aspects of these forms. Dr. Zhang introduced this system of Qi Gong to the West in the early 1990′s, having developed the knowledge for health and longevity rather than as a martial art.

New Location and Plans for Matt Van Dyke, EAMP

I’m excited to announce that starting July 21 I will be practicing at 1405 Fraser St. #1 in Bellingham (MAP).  This location is where I currently teach Qi Gong, and is also home to Core Kinetics Pilates & Movement, Carolyn Watson, LAc., M.S., Brad Jones Advanced Rolfer, Seth Burke, PT – Back In Action Physical Therapy, and Massage Therapist Lauryn Marino, LMP.

I feel that this environment will accentuate my skills as an Acupuncturist/Herbalist/Qi Gong practitioner, and will allow me to emphasize my goals of maximizing human potential and bolstering health and longevity within the individual.

I look forward to expanding my current Qi Gong class schedule by adding more beginner classes and more convenient hours, and also utilizing the space to conduct private lessons.

My herbal pharmacy will be more centralized and conveniently located, allowing quicker turn-around times for custom tinctures and the availability of on-demand bulk herbs for acute symptoms.

My Acupuncture hours will also expand starting in September, allowing for more convenient and flexible appointment booking.

I hope that you will be inspired by these happenings as much as I am!

Thank you,

Matt Van Dyke, EAMP
